Sea ash heart

With warmth and professionalism

We provide a certificate for every funeral at sea, showing the name of the loved one, date and time, and the exact location of the scattering site. This certificate provides a lasting memory and can comfort loved ones in knowing their loved one's resting place.

Let us help you organize a precious and memorable event by the sea. We are here to support you and want to offer your loved ones the opportunity to say goodbye in a beautiful and peaceful way.

Frequently asked questions

Burial at sea heart

Why are funerals at sea organized?

Scattering of ashes at sea is an increasingly popular and beautiful alternative to traditional funerals. It offers a peaceful and natural way to say goodbye to a loved one and reduces the workload of caring for the gravesite after the funeral, as the loved one can be remembered by the sea almost anywhere.

Is funeral at sea safe?

A funeral at sea is safe to organize and the size of the boat is always determined by the prevailing weather conditions. Our boats are highly seaworthy and our staff consists of customer-oriented professionals.

Where are funerals at sea held?

Sea funerals are most commonly organized in the Helsinki, Espoo and Oulu areas, but please feel free to contact us if you would like to organize a funeral cruise somewhere else. The cities have designated a scattering area at sea for sea funerals.

How much does a funeral at sea cost?

Sea funerals start from 290€ excluding VAT. Through us you can get a boat specifically suited to your group. Ask for a quote and we'll discuss further!

Can an urn be placed in the sea anywhere?

An urn can only be placed in the sea in a designated area, with the consent of the owner of the water area. In Helsinki, for example, ashes can be buried in Abrahaminluoto with permission.

When is it best to organize a funeral at sea?

We offer funerals at sea year-round, ice conditions permitting. The events are always held on a safe and weather-appropriate vessel.

Can I cancel the cruise if there is a storm?

Sea funerals are always organized with safety first. Our boats are seaworthy and sturdy enough to travel to the outer archipelago, but to ensure the comfort of guests, in winds over 12 m/s, the event will be postponed to another time.
